House of FLying Daggers: GOOD MOVIE.
Tuesday. 9.5.06 6:56 pm
Yet once again, quite depressing. Awesome wardrobe, though. Awesome fight-scenes, and coreography... Oof, it satisfies my need for eye-candy.

What i find amusing about it though, was that it was dedicated to a chick called Anita Mui- the "japanese madonna" of pop-rock, and a film actress. She died of cervical cancer in 2003.

The rebel leader in the movie was actually supposed to be played by her, but she died just after her roll was casted. The character she was to play was "Nui" the rebel leader in the movie, but the movie was improsed so the face of the character was never seen, and there was only one place in the movie where she appeared, and a smilar-statured person was put in her place.

So...That was pretty gnarly.

OH.
AND SHE DATED JACKIE CHAAAAAAAN~! XDXDXD

Okay, based on what you just said about the face thing, I don't know if we're talking about the same movie. But if it is, well, the art/computer animated stuff were really cool.

Except it's always the same old stuff--romance or whatever. And it was Zhang ZiYi who took Anita Mui's place, wasn't it?

I didn't really like it that much.

Good movie...
...but the ending's sad. Wouldn't be the same without it though. Haha I love the fight scenes, particularly in the forests, both normal and bamboo. Don't know why though.

I love the way the House-of-Flying-Dagger warriors blended in with the background. Shhkk..

At this point in life, i'm so desensitized about HATING romance movies, i cease to care if they exist or not.

I dunno if it was Zhang... I *could* check google, but it's so hard to click my browser and find out... *grriinnn...*
